Achaia Pass 2026–2027: €680,000 in funding approved

€680,000 in funding has been approved for the “Intangible Digital Card for Tourism Support – Achaia Pass 2026–2027”, according to an official announcement by Greece's Ministry for Climate Crisis and Civil Protection on 6 October 2026.

The decision covers funding and activation of the action, following a recommendation by the Government Committee for State Aid. It does not open an application platform and does not mean that digital cards are already being issued or paid.

Where the funding comes from

The resources come from the Special Programme for Natural Disasters under Greece's National Development Programme 2026–2030. The ministry says the purpose is to support tourism activity and the local economy in the Achaia regional unit after the 2025 wildfires.

The announcement confirms the total budget but does not yet allocate the money among beneficiaries or transactions. It also does not say whether the programme will cover all of Achaia or specified municipalities and areas.

What still needs to be announced

An official call or implementation decision is needed before people can apply. It should define:

  • the opening and closing dates for applications,
  • eligibility criteria and categories of beneficiaries,
  • the value and number of digital cards,
  • the areas, businesses and expenses covered,
  • the period during which the card may be used.

What is confirmed

The confirmed development is approval of the budget and administrative activation of Achaia Pass. Until the terms are published, interested people do not need to send supporting documents or enter personal data on unofficial websites.

AppiSToS will update this article when the official platform, beneficiaries and deadlines are announced.
