Farm aid: €83.6 million sent for payment to 71,920 unique tax IDs
The supplementary clearance concerns the 2025 aid year. The official table distinguishes scheme-level beneficiary counts, unique recipients and debt offsets.

Greece’s Ministry of Rural Development and Food and the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) announced on 15 October 2026 that farm aid totalling €83,574,028.72 had been sent for payment to 71,920 unique tax IDs. The batch settles outstanding support for the 2025 aid year, not an advance on 2026 single aid applications.
Why 110,109 beneficiaries are also mentioned
The detailed table totals 110,109 beneficiary entries across individual schemes. The same tax ID can appear in more than one scheme, whereas the number of distinct recipients is 71,920. The two figures must not be added together.
The largest portion is for eco-schemes, at €61.17 million before offsets. The batch also includes basic and redistributive support, young-farmer support, coupled crop and livestock aid, support for small Aegean islands and cotton aid.
Deductions for earlier debts
The announcement records €543,954 in offsets affecting 1,193 unique beneficiaries. The total amount for transfer to banks is therefore approximately €83.03 million. The €83.6 million headline figure is before these deductions, not the net total of credits.
Outstanding aid was cleared following checks and corrections to 2025 single aid applications made in August. The process included updated certification information for the eco-scheme maintaining organic farming and livestock methods, and assessed force-majeure requests.
A payment batch, not confirmation of each individual credit
The joint release confirms that the batch was sent for payment and provides aggregate amounts. It does not confirm when funds appear in every individual bank account or open a new application call.
The two authorities put absorption of the annual 2025 direct-aid allocation at 99.6%. That percentage excludes the special cotton aid, which has a separate budget, even though this batch also includes cotton-related amounts.
The same announcement says completion of other payments for beekeeping, vineyards, wine and Pillar II interventions is expected during the day. This is not presented as independently verified completion of all those payments.
