ELSTAT: producer prices up 20.4%; retail volume up 6.1%
Two new releases cover different periods: September for industry and August for retail.

Industrial producer prices rose 20.4% year-on-year in September 2026, ELSTAT reported on 30 October, and 5.1% compared with August. The overall index combines domestic and external markets, whose annual increases were 13.2% and 38.3%, respectively.
A separate release for August 2026 puts annual retail-turnover growth at 8.2% and sales-volume growth at 6.1%. Volume measures turnover at constant prices and differs from turnover at current prices.
Seasonally adjusted monthly retail turnover rose 1.4% and volume 0.9%. Retail figures are provisional. Producer prices are not the consumer price index and do not establish an equal or automatic pass-through to household prices.
