Mascara and eyeshadow: habits for safer eye makeup
Avoid sharing eye products or applying makeup in a moving vehicle.

Eye-makeup hygiene starts with clean hands and tools. The FDA explains that misuse can allow microbial contamination.
Everyday precautions
Do not share mascara or other eye cosmetics. Use disposable applicators for shop testers. Avoid application in a car or bus: a sudden movement can injure the eye.
Stop products that cause irritation. During an eye infection, avoid makeup until recovery and discard products used when the infection developed. These are safe-use recommendations, not a presentation of US rules as Greek legislation.
