GBL: Olympiacos and Panathinaikos open with wins
Olympiacos beat Iraklis 78–68 at the Ivanofeio, while Panathinaikos defeated Vikos Falcons 103–74.
Olympiacos and Panathinaikos began their 2026–27 Stoiximan GBL campaigns with victories on Sunday 4 October. ESAKE confirms the final scores of both opening-round games.
A turnaround at the Ivanofeio
Olympiacos won away to Iraklis 78–68. The hosts led 25–15 after the first quarter, but Olympiacos outscored them 31–11 in the second to take a 46–36 half-time lead.
Iraklis trailed 50–64 at the end of the third quarter. Sasha Vezenkov scored 14 points for Olympiacos, while Jalen Lecque had 19 for Iraklis.
More than 100 points in Athens
Panathinaikos defeated Vikos Falcons 103–74 at Telekom Center Athens. The team from Ioannina was playing its first game in the league.
The hosts led 32–20 after the first quarter, 55–37 at half-time and 79–48 after the third. Mathias Lessort scored 19 points and Dimitris Moraitis recorded 10 assists. Six Panathinaikos players finished with double-digit points.
