The Institute of Educational Policy (IEP) is inviting applications for up to 13 scientific staff positions through four-year secondments, under its 29 October call circulated by the education ministry on 30 October 2026. Applications must be submitted online through the e-IEP Registry, from 15:00 on 30 October to 15:00 on 12 November 2026.

The call provides for up to six Adviser A and seven Adviser B positions. Its table lists 16 teaching branches or specialist fields, which does not mean 16 vacancies will be filled. The final allocation depends on IEP’s service needs. The workplace is its Athens headquarters.

Eligibility

Applicants must be serving permanent teachers in public education. Adviser A requirements include a doctorate, at least six years of teaching service or eight years of educational experience, and a relevant scientific publication. Adviser B requirements include a master’s degree, at least eight years of teaching service or ten years of educational experience, and a relevant publication. The call’s teaching-branch, specialist and disqualification conditions apply.

Documents and selection

Applicants need an updated Registry profile, the prescribed CV, a detailed service-change certificate (PYM) issued within three months of the closing date, and supporting qualifications. If the certificate has not been issued in time, the registered request for its issue is accepted, provided the certificate is supplied by the interview. Where applicable, applicants must also supply recognition of foreign qualifications, specialist evidence and a declaration of intent to resign from a fixed-term post or existing secondment.

Document checks and interviews precede a provisional assessment table, an objections stage and a final table. Secondment requires a ministerial decision; submitting an application or publishing the call does not constitute a placement.
