Greek industrial production rises 5.8% in August

ELSTAT reports 3.1% growth over January–August and a seasonally adjusted 2.0% monthly increase.

Greek industrial production rose 5.8% in August 2026 compared with August 2025, ELSTAT announced on 9 October.

Different comparisons

The January–August average was 3.1% above the equivalent period in 2025. Seasonally adjusted production increased 2.0% from July 2026.

The figures are provisional; annual comparisons are adjusted for working days. The index measures production, rather than business turnover or profitability. A production increase alone therefore does not establish equivalent increases in company revenue or wages.
