Italy: ENAV capacity back at 100% as flights gradually normalise

The primary data network is restored and capacity restrictions lifted. That does not mean every flight is already operating normally.

What changed — 16.10.2026 · 18:14 Greek time

ENAV confirms that full functionality of its primary data-transmission network was restored on 16 October, returning air-traffic-management capacity to 100%.

The morning capacity restrictions have been lifted. The company describes flights gradually returning to normal, not the immediate elimination of every delay or cancellation.

The earlier stages

The fault had reduced capacity to 50%, followed by recovery to 75% using satellite backup. These percentages describe operational capacity, not cancellation rates. Passengers should check their individual flight with their airline.
