Dionysis Kalamatianos announced on 23 October his intention to resign as an MP and align with the Greek Left Alliance and Alexis Tsipras, according to ERTnews, which reproduces his statement.
ERT’s latest update distinguishes the announcement from the procedure: it says the resignation letter has not yet been submitted to Parliament’s Speaker.
At the time of checking, his official parliamentary profile still shows him as an Ilia MP with the Independents label. The profile does not certify receipt of a letter. A completed replacement of the MP was not established, and no successor or revised party seat total is assumed.
