Kilkis: 50-bed chronic-care residential facility is operating
The facility already accommodates 38 people, according to the ministry. Its inauguration took place on 15 October.

The new 50-bed Chronic Conditions Care Facility in Kilkis already accommodates 38 people, according to a Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family release dated 16 October 2026. It was inaugurated the previous day.
The facility provides residential care for older people and people with chronic conditions, with rehabilitation and independent-living training spaces.
The substantive development is its reported operation, not just the ceremony. A capacity of 50 beds does not mean 50 new vacancies; the release announces no admissions call or application deadline.
