Kozani: two calls worth €7.09 million for urban regeneration and material reuse
Proposals are due by 31 December at 14:00 for five interventions. The calls are addressed to the municipality and are not project inclusion decisions.

Two calls under the “Western Macedonia” 2021–2027 Programme, with total public funding of €7,093,866, open proposal submissions for Kozani’s Sustainable Urban Development interventions. The acts are dated 19 October 2026 and were presented by the Managing Authority on 22 October.
Four urban interventions
Call 93, with a budget of €5,960,000, covers four proposed operations:
- An open-air municipal street market.
- A parking area in urban block 406B.
- A road link between the city and its western extensions.
- A parking area for large passenger vehicles.
Material reuse centre
Call 89 provides €1,133,866 for the municipality’s Creative Material Reuse Centre. According to the Managing Authority, it is planned on railway-station land, allowing materials to be checked and repaired before becoming waste.
Who applies and by when
The calls are addressed to Kozani Municipality; bodies with a relevant programme agreement may also be potential beneficiaries. Applications are submitted through the OPS system: call 93 opened on 22 October 2026 at 08:00, and call 89 on 23 October 2026 at 08:00. Both close on 31 December 2026 at 14:00.
This is the proposal submission and assessment stage. The calls do not establish construction contract awards or the start of works. They are not individual subsidy schemes for residents or businesses.
