Marseille–Olympiacos: visiting supporters’ tickets cancelled, away gate closed
Olympiacos tells its supporters in Marseille not to approach the stadium. The notice covers the €15 and €49 tickets.
Tickets bought by Olympiacos supporters are not valid for the match against Marseille on Thursday 15 October. In its latest official notice, dated 14 October, the club says the cancellation covers both the €15 and €49 tickets.
The section intended for Olympiacos supporters at CEPAC Vélodrome will remain closed. The club asks its fans already in Marseille not to travel to the stadium, because they will not be admitted.
The latest practical guidance
The clarification followed Wednesday’s new security meeting. ERT News reported it on the evening of 14 October, after conflicting earlier information about supporters travelling to the match.
In its previous statement on 13 October, Olympiacos said purchasers would receive refunds into their accounts over the following days. It did not give a specific credit date.
This is a cancellation of the specified tickets and guidance for the visiting team’s supporters. It is not an announcement that the Europa League match itself has been cancelled.
