Eurovision 2027: NPO withdraws the Dutch entry
The public broadcaster cites insufficient support among member broadcasters. NOS will still air the semi-finals and final.
The Netherlands will not participate in Eurovision 2027, according to NPO 3FM’s official publication on 27 October and accessible ANA-MPA reporting published by ERTnews.
NPO says consultation with the broadcasting council found insufficient support for participation. Chair Jet de Ranitz explains that no suitable way to organise a return was found, despite the earlier intention to take part.
NPO media director Jurre Bosman links the decision to reactions and divisions surrounding Israel’s participation. This is the Dutch public broadcaster’s explanation, not an EBU decision to exclude Israel.

Not sending a Dutch entry does not mean ending coverage: NPO 3FM says NOS will air the semi-finals and final with Dutch commentary. The announcement concerns the 2027 contest and does not specify a permanent withdrawal.
