Student Holocaust remembrance films: applications from 10 December
The deadline is 28 January 2027 at 23:59. Eligibility covers first- and second-year Lyceum pupils in specified education directorates, with teacher supervision.

Invitation 145605/Th2 for the 2026–2027 student short-film competition on Holocaust remembrance in Greek collective memory was published on 29 October. Organisers are the General Secretariat for Religious Affairs and the Jewish Museum of Greece.
Electronic applications run from 10 December 2026 to 28 January 2027. The final deadline for the film and application is 28 January at 23:59. Publication of the invitation today does not mean the application form is already open.
Who is eligible
First- and second-year Lyceum pupils may participate in the education directorates of Athens A, B, C and D; East and West Attica; Piraeus; East and West Thessaloniki; Kastoria; Kozani; Florina; Xanthi; Rhodope; Evros; Karditsa; Larissa; Trikala; Magnesia; Ioannina; and Arta. Eligibility is not unrestricted nationwide.
Entries may be individual or involve up to three pupils, with one supervising teacher. Films may last no more than six minutes. Written parental or guardian consent and compliance with personal-data and public-screening terms are required.
Two submission steps
The teacher uploads the film to the Greek School Network’s video service, with consent forms and the school’s covering document. They must also complete one application per entry in the ministry’s Forms system during the stated period. Uploading the video alone does not replace the application.
Successful pupils will join an educational programme including a visit to Auschwitz–Birkenau. The invitation’s possible visit dates are indicative planning, not a finalised travel schedule.
