DYPA hospitality apprenticeships: applications close on 18 October
The deadline for seven tourism and hospitality schools is Sunday at 23:59. Who can apply, which specialities are available and when apprenticeship pay applies.

Applications to DYPA’s seven Experimental Vocational Apprenticeship Schools (PEPAS) for school year 2026–2027 close on Sunday 18 October 2026 at 23:59 Greek time. The agency’s 15 October reminder concerns the existing closing date, not a newly announced extension.
Eligibility and applications
Applicants for the first year must be at least 18 and hold at least a lower-secondary school leaving certificate or an equivalent qualification. Hotel Reception applicants also need certified B2 proficiency in English, French or German.
Applications use Taxisnet credentials on gov.gr, via Education → School enrolment → Enrolment in a DYPA Experimental Vocational School. Applicants should check that their chosen school offers the speciality they want.
Kalamaki in Attica, Heraklion in Crete and Rhodes offer Cooking, Hotel Reception and Food Service. Mytilene and Patras offer Cooking and Food Service; Thessaloniki and Corfu offer Hotel Reception.
School attendance and paid work are different periods
School-based training runs from November to April. Workplace apprenticeships in four- and five-star hotels run from May to October, eight hours a day, five days a week.
Pay applies to workplace apprenticeships and equals 95% of the statutory minimum daily wage for manual workers applicable at the time. DYPA’s announcement calculates €39.04 per day using a €41.09 daily wage. This is neither a guaranteed monthly amount nor pay for every month of school attendance.
The programme provides paid, insured workplace learning and free textbooks and learning materials. The €240 monthly housing allowance and €9 daily food allowance are available only where the specified eligibility conditions are met.
