Updated 20.10.2026 · 13:14, Athens time — What changed:

Social Cohesion and Family Minister Domna Michailidou placed payment of the Accessibility programme’s second instalment in November 2026, according to an official ministry announcement on 20 October.

The update concerns existing beneficiaries who have completed the required works. The ministry says a 50% advance has already been provided. This announces the expected next payment period; it does not confirm that the second instalment has reached beneficiaries’ accounts.

The deadline remains 30 November

The deadline of 30 November 2026 for completing works and submitting supporting documents was already reported in this article. Today’s reference is not a further extension or a new application round.

Policy intention, not a new call

The minister announced an intention to make the programme permanent and examine retrospective coverage. The statement is not an approved new entitlement, a published call or final rules for retrospective subsidy. Such a change requires the relevant implementing act.

Earlier updates — history

The deadline to complete interventions and submit the completion declaration with the required documents under the Home Accessibility programme has been extended to 30 November 2026.

The extension applies only to beneficiaries whose applications have already received final approval. It is not a new application round and does not widen eligible interventions or beneficiaries.

What changes

Approved beneficiaries have extra time to finish work and submit the prescribed supporting documents. According to the announcement, the advance payment must be returned if the process is not completed by the new deadline.

The provision is contained in a joint decision of five ministries and concerns implementation and funding. Beneficiaries should check their final approval and application file before submission.
