Teacher transfers: 16 October–2 November for both education levels
The secondary-education circular has also been published. Both levels share the application window, with document-specific submission routes and a separate deadline for mutual transfers.

Updated 15.10.2026 · 12:15 Greek time: secondary-education circular 138014/E2, issued on 15 October, has been added. The original article covered primary-education circular 138023/E2.
Primary and secondary teachers can apply for transfers for school year 2026–2027 from 16 October to 2 November 2026. The two circulars are separate and are not the call for EEP–EBP support staff.
Teachers submit their own application through teachers.minedu.gov.gr using Greek School Network credentials. Handwritten applications are not accepted. Finalisation generates a reference number and requires saving or printing the PDF; saving a draft does not constitute submission.
The separate mutual-transfer deadline
The same window covers permanent-placement and improved-placement applications, without preferences for individual schools. For mutual transfers at both levels, the separate deadline is within 15 days after transfers are announced.
Check where supporting documents must go
Required documents must be submitted by the closing date, subject to each circular’s specific exceptions. There is no single route for every file.
For secondary teachers, documents for general transfers and improved placements are emailed as digital copies to the Education Directorate responsible for the teacher’s permanent post. Where the circular requires submission to central ministry administration, mydocs.minedu.gov.gr with Taxisnet is used, subject to special exceptions for sensitive documents: the specified health-committee opinions must be sent confidentially in a sealed postal envelope. Applicants need to check the exact document category in the circular.
For clarification, applicants should contact the Primary or Secondary Education Directorate responsible for their permanent post.
