Restoration covers three buildings and energy upgrading two. The decision concerns funding, not completed works.

Greece’s Ministry of National Economy and Finance announced on 16 October 2026 that a €5,672,320 project for the Fire Service complex at 4 Mourouzi Street had been admitted to ESPA funding.

It provides for structural strengthening and restoration of three listed buildings and energy upgrades to two: the training tower, former headquarters and Athens’ 1st Fire Station.

The General Secretariat for Civil Protection is the beneficiary, with European Regional Development Fund co-financing. Funding admission does not mean the works are complete; the release sets no handover date.
