Sleep: wellbeing starts with an evening routine
Sleep duration and quality deserve a place in the daily schedule.

Sleep is not merely the time left after other commitments. CDC says adults aged 18–60 need at least seven hours daily; needs change with age.
Quality matters too. Repeated waking and sleepiness despite enough time in bed are reasons to pay closer attention to sleep.
CDC and the NHS recommend consistent sleeping and waking times. A quiet bedroom, less caffeine late in the day and time to unwind before bed can help. CDC advises switching off electronic devices at least 30 minutes beforehand.
Try treating evening preparation as a small daily appointment. If difficulties persist or affect your daytime life, speak with a healthcare professional.
